Our story

Housing is the foundation everything else is built on.

Me2U Housing was founded on a simple belief: that everyone deserves a safe, stable place to call home — regardless of their past. We provide affordable, independent housing in Clarksville, TN for veterans, evacuees, and individuals rebuilding after incarceration.

Where it started

Me2U Housing grew out of a recognition that Clarksville's most vulnerable residents — veterans returning from service, families displaced by disaster, and individuals leaving incarceration — faced the same impossible barrier: no housing, no stability, no path forward.

Our founders saw that existing shelters and transitional programs weren't enough. What people needed wasn't temporary relief — they needed a real home, a lease in their name, and the dignity of independent living.

Our turning point

Building a model that actually works

We developed a housing-first approach that places residents directly into independent units — not dormitories, not shared facilities. Each resident signs their own lease, pays their own utilities, and builds the rental history they need to move forward.

Alongside stable housing, we connect residents with case management, employment support, and community resources. The home is the anchor. Everything else follows.

How we operate today

Today, Me2U Housing manages housing programs for three distinct populations: veterans, evacuees, and reentry individuals. Each program is tailored to the specific barriers and needs of that community.

We work closely with local partners — the VA, FEMA, courts, and employers — to ensure residents have the full support network they need to thrive long after they've moved in.

What we believe

A safe home isn't a reward for good behavior. It's where good things become possible.

We don't ask residents to earn their way to stability. We give them stability first — and watch what they build from there.

What guides us

Three principles shape every decision we make — from how we design our programs to how we talk with residents.

Housing first

Stable housing is not the end goal — it's the starting point. We place residents in independent units before addressing any other barrier, because nothing else works without a home.

Dignity in every detail

From lease agreements to case management, we treat every resident as a capable adult building their own future. No gatekeeping, no judgment — just support.

Community over charity

We're not doing something for our residents — we're building something with them. Their voices shape our programs, and their success is our measure.
